Byrne Gallery is proud to announce the first showing of Lynn Mocarski Maurer’s oil paintings on copper and graphite drawings of flowers, during the annual gallery group show “Flora”. Byrne Gallery has been a strong advocate of the arts for over 25 years with their gallery in the heart of Middleburg, Virginia. Byrne exhibits regional works from established artists as well as artists from all over the world.

There is warmth and vitality in Lynn Mocarski Maurer’s drawings of blossoms, leaves and stems, even though they are entirely in shades of gray. “Passing Impressions,” the Virginia artist’s show at Gallery A, is not impressionistic. Maurer represents contour, light and shadow with exquisite accuracy, celebrating natural forms but also the nature of pencil on paper.
